How can you review a laptop when met with frustration after frustration when trying to use it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Ros25 from Average I am happy with this laptop. However, there are features that I miss that were on my old laptop. The laptop is heavy and hurts my lap. The keyboard is lacking. There are no raised markers on the rest position keys. The on/off key is not in an easy to find position. The script on ,.;' keys is too small. I need an SD reader port. The track pad is not as good as my old laptop. All these flaws have been addressed with the purchase of a mouse, an extension card reader, a cushion for the lap and a texta pen on the keyboard. So now it looks really old - but its functional. Sound is good, Large screen is good.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Palimbacchius from Excellent desktop replacement I bought this as a desktop-replacement and I'm very happy with it: lovely big screen, a large comfortable backlit keyboard with numeric keypad (though the placement of the on/off button is a little idiosyncratic) and in general it's fast and responsive. I would have preferred biometric entry and a touch screen, but their absence wasn't a surprise to me: you get what you pay for. All in all, an excellent example of HP quality.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Mr Terrible from Plenty of Silver but not Gold Battery loses 10% in first half hour unplugged. "Mouse" pad almost 1 mm depressed on LH side level on RH side. Otherwise, I like the keyboard; good screen size, seems to work fine; a couple of weird glitches that probably had nothing to do with hardware. Overall, I like it; my other lappy is an ASUS Vivobook, higher quality but smaller with lesser specs; a tradeoff I guess. I recommend it, if it's what you want and price is right.

Only reason i marked down to four stars is the position of the on button. It took a while to find it as it's in the top row between the print screen and delete keys. Just looks like another key. I've put a sticker next to it for my elderly Mum.
