Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor design. Defective product. Bad service Hinges are too stiff and lid cracked from opening and closing normally. HP have been a nightmare to deal with and are really creepy in their communications. Hundreds of emails to get nowhere is exhausting. My other hp is solid cheaper and better made. Won't buy a hp ever again

But real scenario battery life is dependent on the usage as well as the background applications and processes that are running.
