March 2025 

HP US Privacy Statement 

  • We created a new Advertising sub-page and made changes throughout the Privacy Statement on advertising to better describe our advertising practices. 
  • We improved the Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning section to be more transparent about how we may use "Artificial Intelligence" capabilities.  
  • We clarified that HP does not scan or collect the content of any file or information that might be displayed by an application, unless specifically required under a requested service and/or with your consent.  
  • We revised our How We Share Data section and throughout the Supplementary Privacy Notice for California Residents to clarify the scope of “sell” and “sharing” as defined under applicable U.S. state data privacy law, and how we disclose personal data to third parties.  
  • We clarified in the Your Right to Opt-Out section how individuals can revoke their consent by visiting your privacy settings on the corresponding services or applications. 
  • We revised the How We Retain and Keep Your Data Secure section to provide examples about the criteria used by HP to determine the period of time personal data will be retained. 

January 2025

HP US Privacy Statement

  • We made updates throughout the US Privacy Statement to include New Jersey, whose privacy law entered into force on January 15, 2025.

December 2024

HP US Privacy Statement

  • We made updates throughout the US Privacy Statement to include Delaware, Iowa, Nebraska, or New Hampshire, whose privacy laws will enter into force on January 1, 2025.

October 2024

HP US Privacy Statement

  • We made updates throughout the US Privacy Statement to include Montana, whose privacy law entered into force on October 1, 2024.

HP China Privacy Statement

  • We made updates throughout the China Privacy Statement to align the text with the HP Global Privacy Statement.
  • We refined the International Data Transfers section to further explain how we transfer personal data outside of outside of Mainland China in accordance with our China's Standard Contract for Cross-Border Transfer of Personal Information (SCC).
  • We updated the List of Receiving Parties link in accordance with our China's Standard Contract for Cross-Border Transfer of Personal Information (SCC).
  • We refined the Exercising Your Rights & Contacting Us section to further explain your rights under PIPL, and how you can exercise rights related to your data with us.

September 2024

HP Global Privacy Statement

  • We further clarified the scope of the privacy statement to explain that the Global Privacy Statement covers the processing of personal data where HP operates or processes such information.
  • We clarified that our privacy policies apply to the entire operations, including “suppliers” in the accountability principle.
  • We added new information about HP’s UK BCRs for Controllers and HP’s UK BCRs for Processors for the international transfer of UK personal data.
  • We refined the Binding Corporate Rules section to further explain where EEA/UK/Swiss individuals can exercise rights related to our BCRs with us.
  • We further explained the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority and where the individual can find the competent supervisory authority.
  • We modified HP Poland’s and Türkiye’s addresses.
